Beca’s Care Bag
During Beca’s brave fight against metastatic Melanoma, Beca and her mom Aneta, were traveling to and from so many doctor appointments and hospital stays that they started a “Beca’s Care Bag”. They brought this care bag with them to all of her appointments.
Simple items such as lotion and lip balm to help ease Beca’s dry skin, a blanket to keep her warm during treatment, or a beanie to cover her head when she started to lose her hair, a small pillow to support her head while traveling, or perhaps a snack or a bottled water.
Aneta always tried to make the rooms she stayed in feel more like home for Beca by adding touches of home, like lamps and pictures, but it was these simple items in her Beca’s care bag that they reached for the most.
Aneta’s Vision…
It has always been Aneta’s vision to launch a care bag program in honor of her daughter and to help give others the same comfort she gave to Beca during her fight.
We are happy to announce that our Beca’s Care Bag program will be launching soon!
We will be providing and distributing care bags to patients in hospitals that are currently going through treatment for Melanoma. Helping to provide some comforting items as well as comforting words to let them know that they are not alone in their fight.
