To complete our mission and help achieve a melanoma free generation, we need your help. Your donations help support Blackout Melanoma and our programs. From our annual Beca’s Five Race Day Event down to educational brochures – everything we do revolves around our mission of educating, supporting, and providing resources to help secure a generation free of Melanoma.
We can not do it alone and we need your donations to reach more families.
Every dollar makes a difference!
Here is just a glimpse at what Blackout Melanoma has been doing since our inception :
- Raised more than $300,000 dollars for the fight against Melanoma.
- Given over $140,000 through our Beca’s Care grant program to local families going through a devastating diagnosis of Stage III/IV metastatic Melanoma. Offering financial assistance to help pay for such things as medical bills, transportation to and from doctor appointments, utilities, or groceries. We want them to focus on your healthcare, not your bills.
- Awarded a $50,000 research grant to Washington University School of Medicine that was utilized for Melanoma research.
- Granted $5,000 to Barnes Jewish Hospital Foundation during the covid19 pandemic that was used for front line workers, some of the very same doctors and nurses that cared for Beca and countless other individuals battling a devastating melanoma diagnosis.
- Provided over 100 Beca’s Care Bags to patients in local area hospitals that are going through treatment for Melanoma. Helping to provide some comfort items and comforting words to let them know that they are not alone in their fight.
- Continued to expand our programs and our outreach.
Your donation and all proceeds from our events go directly to support our programs and services. Please join the hundreds of supporters who make this worthwhile effort a reality!
