Dee Duncan

Research Committee Chair

Dee resides in Kirkwood, Missouri.  She has two adult children who also live in Missouri.  She and her family have enjoyed living in many different places and feel blessed to be back in Missouri near family and friends.

Dee’s career has allowed her to work with children, young adults and senior citizens in many different capacities.  She taught elementary school for 11 years and stayed home to raise her children while living abroad in Israel and England.  She reentered the work force after relocating to New Mexico and taught at the community college while managing her own small business as an exercise consultant.   She is currently working with elementary children in reading and math and looking forward to future challenges to grow and learn with her students.

As a young adult, Dee lost her best friend to Melanoma and then her family was touched again with Beca’s death.  Being part of the Blackout Melanoma’s board will help her to carry on Beca’s dream to educate and protect future generations.

Dee’s board focus is to develop plans to assist with Melanoma Research and ways the organization can partner with the medical community.

“I’m honored to have shared many special memories with Beca.  Beca babysat for my children and traveled with my family. Knowing Beca and witnessing her remarkable faith and courage has made a strong impression on me and my children.”
